Whitesboro Planning Board Meeting Minutes  11/10/2009

Planning Board Members in attendance:

 

Bob Friedlander (Chairman), John Duda, Bob Misiaszek, John Cieslewitz, and Gary Roberts

 

Also in attendance:  Richard Shaffer, Village Trustee and Chet Kowalski, Codes Officer

 

Meeting was called to order @ 7:00 pm

 

Pledge of Allegiance recited

 

Minutes of last meeting, 10/6/09 were reviewed.

Motion to accept by John Cieslewitz, 2nd Bob Misiaszek.     Motion carried:  yes

New Business:

Russell Liotta, of 30 Cheyenne Crescent, Whitesboro submitted information for Elite Martial Arts Academy, 320 Oriskany Blvd. parking, waste removal, and other issues were discussed.

 

Jeff Scatko, Co-owner of Adirondack Sheet Metal, 175 Oriskany Blvd., is seeking approval to purchase a parcel of land from the cemetery, (1.46 acres) to be used for a parking lot.  Planning Board recommends approval.  A letter will be sent to the Village Board.  A zoning change will be required.

 

(Planning Board Meeting closed for public hearing)

 

7:15 PM:  Public Hearing for Harley Lanning, owner of 214 and 212 Main Street and 1 Dewey Avenue property revision to two lots.  No public comment or objections.  Proof of ownership has been submitted.  File #239 with county, approval contingent on response from county.

 

7:19 PM:  Public Hearing closed, PB Meeting resumed.

 

Attorney Scott Olsen, and Christine Howell, Site acquisition contractor, representing Verizon Wireless, were present to request a Special Use permit and a Variance for a new Monopole cell tower at a new location in the Whitestown Plaza.  The checklist for Local Law #10 was reviewed, and questioned were fielded from the Planning Board, Trustee Shaffer, and Codes Officer Kowalski.

SEQR application part 1 is completed.  It has been requested that the applicant complete part 2 to be reviewed by the Planning Board.

Linda Walker - Verify mailing to residents before public meeting.

 

Rick Mauro, son of Joe Mauro stated that Joe owns 21 acres adjacent to the tower site and has offered his property and cooperation for consideration.

 

All attendees were asked if there were any other questions.  None
